The issue dates back four years, as and when WMS brought an act in opposition to the Gibraltar company, claiming use of the names “ Super Jackpot Party” and “ Jackpot Party” on its net games, and claimed that those infringed 1997 trademarks had been registered by WMS for its machines.
The issue has been headed in the U.S. District Court for North Illinois and the seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals that lately ruled that the WMS can carry on to pursue the case as it asks for $287 million from the Party Gaming.
